Shape Shifter

“The first problem for all of us, men and women, is not to learn, but to unlearn.”
~ Gloria Steinem

“The most necessary part of learning is unlearning our errors.”

~ Zeno

"Where spirituality is concerned,
learning is all about unlearning -
unlearning almost everything you’ve ever been taught.
It’s all about unlearning and listening."
~ Anthony de Mello

Let's start by not taking ourselves too damn seriously.
Loosen up — crack knuckles and neck — stretch limbs ...

Confound it! This human mode is dumbfounded!
We spend so much time learning to identify
With this or that, him, her, and them.

Where rests the primal shape of one's face?
Heretofore any final form escapes our gaze.
Switch animal totems as a player trades out masks.
Strive for fluidity when it comes to sorcerers' tasks.

Static objects don't exist. Even ideals barely persist.
Stagnation awaits those who can't adapt to change.
Standing still within eye of whirlwind seems strange.
Stirs it not thy divine stars? Venusian women; men of Mars?
Starseeds wake, ascend to night. Gnostic knowing, out of sight!

Shift below you must, lest your silver cord gather dust.
Then take flight as a raven to look upon lesser auras.
The predator blends into background; praying prey ignore us.
Though myths may vary, a lot are attributed to Apollodorus.

Transparency serves an arranger behind these scenes.
Unless amorphousness flows, anthropomorphism anchors souls.
Undoing such damnation involves enacting fictive figures.

Let's end without wondering whether or not it all makes sense.
Latter years are needed to refine singular self into a peerless:

Author's Note: For context regarding this year's predictions from several Feng-Shui Masters, refer to this article > Chinese New Year 2014

Year of The Cavalier

First new moon touches perigee now as Venus goes direct
The time to draw one's bow and aim is over
No further need to reflect ...

Unless your sign be equine
Then hold your horses still
Though they're champing at the bit
Close the stable door
Or bolt beyond, those broncos will

Wooden Trojan stallion stand silently in wait
Flames of war burning all around
Can consume at any rate

Reign in thy steed noble knight
From high and haughty saddle
Must thee occasionally dismount
Lead ponies down to water's edge
Let them drink of their own account

Against symbolic windmills, like Don Quijote bravely tilt
Head cavalry through its last heroic hurdle
Upon mustang thy blood spilt!

ItzQuauhtli's Prophecy

ItzQuauhtli's Prophecy

Forged in Tonatiuh's heart, his feathers were slates of antimatter

ItzQuauhtli was recognized as a reflection of Great Cosmic Eagle

Which North-American Natives called: Thunderbird.

Analogous to Horus in Egyptian lore; whose eyes are equally solar and lunar.

Or Garuda in Hinduism, with Vishnu riding atop his back.

Like Mercury (closest to the sun) he served as a messenger.

The Aztecs associated this Eagle with Huitzilopochtli — god of war and patron of the arts.

Sent to Earth late during the Fifth age, he heralded Quetzalcoatl's return

While also warning that it would come hand-in-hand with Tezcatlipoca's release ...

For the nine lords of Xibalba known as Bolon Yokte are present at both the beginning and end of time!

The Interloper

The Interloper

Seen only by similar cats
It skulks through the shadows
At ungodly hours

Spewing verdant vapor down alleyways
And deserted parking lots
But with nostrils flaring upward
Inhales light from heaven

Denizen of darkness
Not quite one species nor another
Camouflaged by gaps in our common continuum

Trees speak to it as do stones and bodies of water
Inscribing human sins upon memory
For they recognize a missing link
Who yearns to exhort:

Skip a step in evolution
Dare to cross this burning bridge
Before its embers are dispersed beyond retrieval

Anachronistic friend, join those few on yonder ridge!
