In Defiance of Damnation

In Defiance of Damnation

Been going through seven lean years

But have yet to taste platter of plenty...

There's no oasis to give one refuge nor any respite in sight.

A stoic eagle knight, caught up amid 'Las Noches' (endless night).

Faceless might as well be voiceless; unseen and unheard.

Ghosted by all nations for taking sides with L'absurde.

May you hark now witchy women—about to break dry spell

Got a flame that flares skyward from the deepest bowel of hell!

Earth to VALIS, do you copy? Come in VALIS!

Your violet fire sometimes seeps in through
The bars of our black iron prison
But we lack the sacramental Anokhi
With which to effect any liberation.

Shhh... keep it down will you?
Lest Big Noodle be listening
For it may report us to the authorities
Who are in league with Belial.

That little black billy goat
Sure ain't kidding about.
He'll eat the love out of your heart
And leave nothing there but hate.

Our whole universe is as mad
As this writer kicking a dead Horselover
Just to chew on pseudo-religious Fat
Always hoping the Divine Will invade us.

Meanwhile our Messiah is M.I.A.
Like Bishop Archer dying by the Dead Sea
After treading past miles of arid dunes
(two coke bottles weren't enough to stave off thirst).

Earth to VALIS, do you copy? Come in VALIS!

Seven for the Pleiades —

Sister stars of ancient lore.

Some think to call them home

(others think a little more).

Seven were the wonders

Of the world in ages past.

To day they've been updated,

But short term memories don't last.

Seven notes of melody

Comprise all tonic scales.

Infinite variations give us

Endless sonic tales.

Seven sins prove deadly

For those lacking self-control.

Get to know your triggers,

Or the outcome won't be droll.

Seven are the Chakras;

Vortices of vital breath.

Meditate on these and see

Horus vanquish Seth!

Seven senses function

If a dreamer is wide awake.

Sixth be the so-called psychic,

Seventh: uncoiled ethereal snake.

Seven seals will break

When Judgment Day arrives.

Then we'll know who excelled

Or erred by wasting precious lives ...

The Cricket's Call

"According to the Aztec language, the word Chapultepec means the following: Chapul or chapulin means “cricket” and Tepec “hill.” Therefore, the Aztec word Chapultepec must be defined as, “The Hill of the Cricket.”

In ancient Rome, during the time of the Caesars, the cricket was sold in golden cages at a very high price. In Mexico City, at the Museum of Anthropology and History there exists a very  interesting picture related to the teachings that were taught to the Aztec Nobility and Priests in their secret temples.

In this picture, we see two individuals floating over the Hill of Chapultepec. A chirping cricket appears at the summit of the hill.  Next to this scene, a floating human face appears; from the mouth emerges two waves of light which symbolize the chirping of the cricket, or in other words, the symbol for the monotonous and sharp sound of the cricket that the two people who are floating over the foothill must produce in order to penetrate into the temple."

~ from Aztec Christic Magic by Samael Aun Weor

The Cricket's Call

Mid-August somnolence;
Cicadas seethe by sunlight
But at nighttime, crickets chirp.

Nocturnal chorus basking
In the heatwave aftermath.
Waking wizards for witching hour ...

Roused astral body astir within interzone —
Early morning moth latch onto silver cord
And raise this wretched man above his foibles!

Unladen from Earthly burden
Mortal coil may be transmuted
To enact any empyrean alchemy.

Peter Pan flies to Neverland again
(applaud so that Tinker Bell revives).
Old Jiminy will attest to our regained virtues!

Enigmata Tomb Bomb

Sunk under so low

Bottoming out down below.

Redundant fecundity

Reaching up from profundity.

A lifetime of talent

Misspent on the worst world

Where free spirits can be sent.

But worry not!

If anyone is reading this

It means fate hasn't forgot.

Hence here's another ditty —

A diamond dug from nitty-gritty:

Sanctified Southern wind come nigh,

Quicken Northern landscape gone awry.

Difficult changes; trickier languages.

Doesn't dilute but enriches US.

Hate is composed of horrid habits;

Intermix like horny rabbits!

Hybrid our breed forever then.

Yet even that won't lessen

Animalistic animosity among men.

Try to preemptively learn this lesson . . .

Ire be its own greatest nemesis —

Abide by no anger toward any stranger.

Spiritual descendants outlive and ASCENDETH

Aquiline Ascension

Aquiline Ascension

Up on its aerie at the top of the world
It perches, plucking mottled plumes.

Arthritic talons, crimped from overuse
Shall have to be painfully pulled out.

Then even that dull rostrum will lie busted
Smashed against a freshly reddened rock.

Days will pass. Weeks, months (maybe years).
Wintry winds will buffet a barely living body.

But gradually, feathers, claws, and beak grow back;
Which is when Eon Eagle heads forth thus renewed.

Swooping so swiftly as to part oceanic waters
Before arching skyward, into the bluest expanse!

Purgatorial Blues

Purgatorial Blues

Out of fire
Low on pith

The moment has fled
Judgement was swift

And this damned demon groans
From rock bottom of the pit

There are some sins
That can't be expiated

Then one dwells
For too long in private hells

Stumbling barefoot
Brains all but aberrated

Unemployed with youth destroyed
Yet holding onto hope unalloyed

Breathing bravely until bitter bile
Betrays its own blessed blood

Because no strain of stifling evil
Can stamp out pure Will if it's good!

Figurative Filaments

"Oh say can you see, my eyes, if you can — then my hair's too short!" ~ Hair

Figurative Filaments

In the theater of things sublime
Pilose players and pithy pipes combine.
Metonymy may mollify a meaningless mind
As apes at nature's apex art realigned.

Doubt but don't debate about design
Scroll past scrawling so inclined
Swear to secrecy your sacred find
Never overestimate anyone unkind

Where be the beacons that before shined?
We can't fast-forward, only rewind.
Wound up tight enough, try to unwind.
Within this verbose vortex every vibrant vertex is redefined
...

Footnote:

Bald figureheads grow febrile barring growling fibrous fandango
Set loose a top spins then dips midst tripped up tango
All eyes see photons refracted through their own prismatic angle
Skull-bound tongue has its way with one's brain once tangled

Come now ghost of Samson — let us grow our hair of strength —
What wondrous shimmering shalt be shown in its length?
Weird yet wild antenna attuned to hardwired wisdom;
Unleashed by shaman's shout from inner shrine to outer serfdom!

The Tempest Persists

Author's Note: This piece is a sequel to a poetic prequel titled The Whirlwind Cometh.

The Tempest Persists

It shows no signs of slowing down
This Mælstrom swallows leviathans whole
Everyone's days are affected somehow
It's futile to burrow underground like a mole!

Typhon blares his foghorn from on high
Corporeal creatures fear their eventual demise
Yet not taking any chances equals wasted lives
Get caught in the squall at least once before you die!

Tempus Fugit, we expire before knowing it
Blasts from the blizzard only rattle us a bit
Don't take shit lying low nor do idly sit
Life may be a struggle, but that's no excuse to quit!

Hover over heady heights of hurricane funnel
Rock the boat gripping left and right gunnel
Force your way toward rays beyond this tunnel
Come hither monsoongrow a river from this trickling runnel!

Coda:

Shipwrecked islander try
Not becoming lamentably blind
Pry third eye
Wide open to luster
Lying beneath shallow waves
How they tint our perception with such subtle shades...

Bask in sun until dry
Pineal cones and rods decalcified
Awry state rectified
Blow back against bluster
Showing resistance to being effaced
Heaven Ho; windstorm's course has been wholly retraced...

The Whirlwind Cometh

The Whirlwind Cometh

Your bones are first to tell you
When a hurly-burly approaches
Then mind becomes restless
Making long nights sleepless

For as the wind intensifies
From silent draft to violent gust
You'll soon know what you must
Swept off your feet; to Oz or bust

After that, everything's transformed:
Awestruck witness within eye of storm
Amid drastic departure from old norm
But don't despairone's heart defies

Although no amount of preparation
Can preempt such devastation
Brought about by fateful precipitation
Thou shalt act as winged ones do ...

Coda:

Eagle fly by
Leaving crop circles behind
Yes fly by
Sprinkling moon dust
On this ignorant race
So that they won't go to waste.

Cyclone hasten nigh
Loosen whatever bonds bind
Yea draw nigh
There's no superior rush
For surface dwellers debased
Fill us within, lest we be erased!

The Eternal Moment is back!

New and improved as ever before

Relucent splendour blinds third eye
Dreams and daylight interchangeable

Parallel existence multiplying all around us

Only the most perceptive people can see it
Undivided among merely apparent multiplicity

Magnificent Monad splintered in fractal infinity

Universal memory stretched beyond spacetime

Everything is obvious to anyone lit from within.
Rational answers for uncouth creatures acting civil?

Such minds are secondary to silent Will at work
Any mystic sage or skilled sophist knows

That rarefied Truth puts an onus on us observers

We are the coauthors of our assumed Reality

Heroes, rascals and zeroes: typecast tropes

Arbitrary labels define how society evolves

Don't fall for shadows playing on cave wall

Even believing your own story is suspect

Doubt logical assertions as illogical ones

Flip switches, push buttons, recalculate

Having plotted a course — cast off now

Drifting past present and future until

Reaching an ageless continent

Always living; constant instant!

The Show About Nothing

The Show About Nothing

Coasting along during the age of passivity

Most would rather watch than participate in activity

How odd that truth is often stranger than fiction

Yet so many suffer from a rather common affliction:

Our very own lives seem to us dreadfully boring

For we tend to miss a subtle thread underscoring

Everyday events bearing magnitudes of meaning

What's happening now is more than mere preening

Without pain and suffering, happiness is circumvented

As such even they have a place among us, the discontented!

For Posterity . . .

For Posterity . . .

The greatest Poet of this century came & went
Yet no literary journal will ever catch that scent

Gloss can but poorly misrepresent
What only appears to be an accident

Whereas ideas form, actions cement
Impregnable logic without a dent

Therefore fine lady or dapper gent
Bolster the bent of thine own Intent

Real re-evolution shalt ye then foment
Leaving Earth's orbit — with no lament!

Pelagic Prosody

Pelagic Prosody

Cinder by shoreline, none could but some can. Echoing a ceaseless arrival, castaways deliriously repeat: shallows resurface!

At edge of Pacific, eternal meaning attained. Waves ground rocks to sand and beckoned beholder to witness: all is process.

One's life like a ship adrift archipelago of sensational obsessions. Dawn Treader seeking after the world's final isles.

Identity? A frigate capsized upon rocky shoals at low tide. A veritable flibbertigibbet caught within a whirlpool, which self-importance sustains.

Return to the ocean, in body or mind. Where our cells were first formed four eons hence. Imitate liquified spontaneity.

Sonar under profundities; a depth-charge surges through psychic tides as the secret propagation of unceasing evolution!

Sea-kayak floating atop swells, hear the sound so often heard in shells. Fear not drowning in Earth mother's amniotic flowing.

Have you ever swum at a reef whilst watching marine fauna frolic? Therein life's creative drive is evinced via plethora of colors.

Dolphins gambol in oceanic spray while mangroves lush upon the bay. Motorboats then overtake as tourists chase cetaceans away.

May the sound of surf soothe your nerves and a beach's breeze fill your nostrils. Here gulls sing of solar bounty spilling ashore . . .

Seres Alzados (Special Spanish Edition w/ PodCast)

"Angeles son poderes escondidos dentro los organos y faculdades del hombre." ~ Ibn Al 'Arabi, Gran Maestro de los Sufis

Seres Alzados

~ I ~

No temo a nada ni a nadie
Sea que ande paseando
Por las avenidas de San Salvador
O sobre los muros en Machu Picchu
Ahi voy, con pasos pesados
Aventado a toda cabeza
Deletreando frases vivientes
En tres idiomas (Frances, Ingles, y este)
Porque el mas alla no se queda quieto
Ni tan siquiera un solo instante
Menos para los quienes se inquietan
Y aquellos que se desesperan
Bueno, esos salen aun peor.

~ II ~

La Muerte es transcendente
Nuestras almas; ilusion
En esta vida no hay constante
Excepto, vuestra fe y devocion
Tal como Castaneda os dijo
Que Don Juan había dicho:
"El unico camino que debes seguir
Es uno que sobresale rebalsando
Desde tu propio sentir."
Asi que nos toca eligir
Rechasar el misterio con ciencia
Sacrificando lo ideal - o -
Bautisarse con agua pura de consciencia
Cual es la misma energia
Del espacio abierto, universal!
