This is very promising. I wish you could have sustained the -/ -- -/ tempo in the opening of every line--more valuable imo than the rhymes. I feel that the rhymes pull you off course w/ this, which is a shame, because you have all the ingredients to bring this up two levels... a revision, a revision... it's all this poem needs.
