Strike flint by blue moon glow
Reflected across serene waters
Ship down among sunken treasure
These moments they flee
Mark it on new calendar:
Yesterday—we went our separate ways

The charred trestles of a crossing
Under which tamed ponies wild about
Face it, we're past reconciling
Such differences when walking
The smoldering gangplanks.
