Was The Tripods

But recall, the Cognosc leaves!

A third act calls for dieresis

And diacritical remarks;

Something for the laggards

(zero sum game full of larks).

Cease those fours, return to threes —

Won't they notice it repeats?

Rather doubtful any care

(flatter them for being elites).

Cerebral psych's a breeze . . .

We Are Not Our Eidolons

In an ideal world we would all see clearly into each other's psyches

Whether Cancer, Capricorn, Aries or Libra

Without needing to get too verbal

But personal feelings muddle what might have otherwise been clear

Ah the gifts of hypocrisy in a wayward democracy

Constitution ruptured atop foundational mores

Wherefore such typical tragedy?

Stock responses perfunctory

Adjudication in lover's court

A dismal dreg deemed exemplary

Captivated by the composer's grand symphony, one's broken lens gives false report

Post-Modern Post-Mortem

Philosophy is hardly a fashion show

People speak with finality about "trends in theory"

Claiming that we have outgrown certain key perspectives

When theorists had not been analysing their own eras, but ours!

This failure to acknowledge the prescience of gifted forerunners

Has led into blind alleys where a distrust of Meta-Narratives reigns

Yet little serious consideration is given to any Ludic Telos

In other words, an open ended inter-PLAY that we must each embrace in order to skip through semantic minefields.

Signifier and Signified are synchronous but not synonymous

Wherefore various qualia arise in one's mind along with labels;

Apparent percept-objects and relativistic moral judgments.

Whomsoever missed this is missing inaction and should meditate:

Come to know that ⍓︎□︎◆︎❒︎wingding⍓︎□︎◆︎❒︎ words warp cognition

Everything now occurring is a product of condition

A trap we can avoid by asking quantum questions

To constantly redefine the old Copenhagen Interpretation.

Eyes of The Soulless

And then you saw
That the beam of light hailing from the sky
Was a memory revealed, here in the twilight of our sleep

A memory you had, before you ever lived it
But as it unfolded to become an experienced reality
You felt so strange
Your wary gut boded ill

Who is this man that you've drawn?
His eyes are frightening to fellow travelers
Because he is not what he seems
He is unaware of his senses
And yet he is alive

A vacant shell

Corpse sans fantôme
Under a spell

Adrift, forlorn.

Cognitive powers: under-developed
Conception of time: materially enveloped 
// pragmatic at best but far too cumbersome to set sail on the gales of infinitude //

Now this system has become infected
Thy vessel contaminated

Thou shouldst take flight till dusk descends
Tonight healthy spirits shall find thee again —

Spurn wanton grief for 'tis a trifle when

Folly permits yon splendor dimmed

And one ought to bask in the evening's glory

Instead of indulging finite whims

Or retracing another tired step in such an undying mortal story.
