Le Dao De Zing

The Dow that can be bought, is not the Eternal Dao!
Any name that can be sold, is not an Eternal name —
Nameless be the origin of both Heaven and Hell.
Named lies this creation of our unconscious conception.
If one remains constant and detaches desire
Then permeable essence is seen.
Elsewise, ridden with cravings
Only appearances are apprehended.
Yet essence and appearance are two aspects
Of a single interwoven movement;
Immanent metamorphic matter!
- II -
When people come to know Fame, infamy arises.
Once one encounters richness, impoverishment begins.
Thus do credit and debt beget one another.
Struggle and leisure bring each other about.
Many losers reveal a few winners;
Sun Kings are defined by disservice to serfs.
Music and money make a cozy comb of honey.
The foremost stand astride the aftmost.
Therefore do sages say:
Assume thee Magistery of Mindfulness.
Conduct the defusing of meanings.
Play whatever cards were dealt
But take great care counting decks.
Acquire, do not own.
Accumulate without expectation.
Consume yet seek no consummation.
Those who Grok this won't dwell on it.
Besides, selfless Samadhi grants relief from tension —

Bluegrass and Shoplifting
During the summer, there was a face
that would become familiar one day while other faces
screamed to be ignored. The hammer dulcimer
made its sound and the beard on stage sang
a song about a lost truck in the woods.
She listened for a bit before going “shopping”.
She paused when the siren alarm went off,
yet was always allowed to pass with the CD in her purse
(a collection of late 90’s music - a soundtrack).
She ate some seaweed not because it was enjoyable,
but because it was eccentric; then sped
along narrow country roads like a NASCAR driver,
careening disastrously all the way home!

Bah, Humbug! (An Xmas Anti-Poem)
Author's Note: For information on the Pagan roots of Christmas, this brief but insightful article is recommended: The Shamanic Origins of Christmas.
Or, for a more in-depth and very eye-opening look, this documentary spells it out perfectly: The Pharmacratic Inquisition.

You see, Santa's just another version of the man in the sky;
A magical equation on which they bank for us to buy.
Despite crisis and recession — let childhood desires fly!
Long-standing tradition isn't something we question, why?

Because the unthinking parent offering their offspring to that secular idol at the mall isn't really doing it for the youngster (who'd be better off given proper guidance) BUT to satisfy their own inner child.
They repeat a cycle of indoctrination into Capitalist customs: Preparing another generation of consumers for dwindling resources (which could run out before we realize it).
- III -
Keep going, it's fine
This world has always been thus
Overbrimming with stupidity
Without shortage of cupidity
Keep towing party line
Present is blessed as future cussed
The dead are unaccountable
For their Humbug, insurmountable!

Capitalist Cult of The Car
"Buy this car to drive to work;
Drive to work to pay for this car." ~ from Hand$hake$ by Metric
Capitalist Cult of The Car
You wake up early everyday
To commute to a faraway place
Which for all intents and purposes
Could best be described as:
"The Height of Tedium".
You climb the corporate ladder
High enough to afford a new vehicle
The company cafeteria offers donuts
And co-workers congratulate you
With warm welcoming smiles.
That's how we here survive
While economies elsewhere take a dive.
Feeling blue? Fill the tank up for a drive!
Another war wins fuel for us to thrive
Don't think, just work — from nine to five.
Not sure whether or not evolution
Would have wanted it this way?
Repetitive stress makes a fine mess
Within this vicious cycle of duress
But whatever the case, dress to impress!
Metaphysics of Money
An Economist? "A man who knows the price of everything and the value of nothing." - Oscar Wilde
Metaphysics of Money
That interplay between Ideas and Reality is among the most overlooked and
least understood processes in all existence; a mutual arising of Phenomenon together with Noumenon.
Paper / Digital Money (like any other currency) is both Real and Ideal. Its tangible qualities alone are worthless but credited with human conviction it becomes Purchasing Power.
Ergo, the actual value of Money or any currency lies in immaterial realms (Noumena)
and from there draws its capacity to influence all material (Phenomena).
It's important to understand this hybrid nature of currency as a method
of exchange. Being both Real and Ideal, Money can manipulate matter and mind to an equal extent.
Surely, Money's hybridity is not lost on members of the
global oligarchy who rely on it to dominate mass mentality as well as vast resources.
Money itself may be inert but our ideas about property, ownership and possession corrupt its usage. It's as though we truly believe that anything can actually be bought and sold.
Money itself may be inert but our ideas about property, ownership and possession corrupt its usage. It's as though we truly believe that anything can actually be bought and sold.
To say that money is the root of all evil may be innacurate, but there's no doubt that the quest for riches during our pursuit of happiness is a common denominator underlying humanity's worst problems.
Indeed, poverty and coveted property are the primary causes of extortion, exploitation, famine, human or drug
trafficking, arms trade and war. Anyone who thinks otherwise is undoubtedly naive.
It's also no wonder that the rich keep getting richer and the poor even poorer, since they're already in control of the socioeconomic system and alter its rules for their own advantage.
Inequality and iniquity are inherent to Capitalism because it's a form of Social Darwinism in which only the financially 'fit' can continue accruing great wealth while everyone else wrestles with unfair finances.
In debt to such Ideas, ours is a society of willing slaves, chasing a carrot they'll never
catch. Yet many remain trustful of deceitful masters who rob them blind amid applause.
However, people all over the planet have begun realizing how much strength we possess if we
put petty differences aside to overhaul our world's failing Economy and its flagging Democracy.
There's nothing really tying us to age-old power structures apart from
our cowardly compliance. If everyone pulled out and rebelled at once, we'd be unstoppable.
A moneyless society sounds frightening and impossible because we've been conditioned by commercialism our whole lives. Still, viable alternatives (other than Communism) already exist.
Future generations looking back will see this as the moment in history when we turned the tide against all that has
kept humanity suffering in the dark for millennia. Awaken and Arise!
Black Flag - Obsidian Eagle
Black Flag - Obsidian Eagle
The Bald Eagle of your forefathers has come to represent
Those exploitative and treacherous oligarchs in the White House.
Stars their military might; Stripes are but bars locking society tight.
Banks act as cathedrals for Capital:
Dollar, Pound and Euro are its Eucharists.
Stock brokers and lenders? A priesthood of vendors!
So take to the streets and fly black banners high —
Remind them that Revolution is a thorn at their side >
Freedom is as good a reason as to why many have died.
This darkest of Eagles shall soar with you then
Anarchic flags its feathers upon the wind...
They would have our wills bend, but we Will focus like Zen!
Cosmic Clock Strikes Eleven
Cosmic Clock Strikes Eleven
At last it's high time to accept
That the Gregorian calendar centered around a mythic Christ
And whose holy dates were superimposed onto Pagan rites
Has put us out of phase with our planet as well as all else
Supermoon at perigee
Signified an era's end
NASA spotted exploding galaxy
Coincidence or portend?
Every day another cataclysm
As the countdown grows intense
Increased consciousness a catalyst
But will it ever bear us hence?
Blister packed sedation
Dystopic governments push on
Flawed Capitalist equation
When shall we witness brave new dawn?
Pluto renders elder powers inept
Yet it makes for a most morbid zeitgeist
Fires, floods, and pandemics (to name a few blights)
Only fallen angels are fit to tread through these fell hells...
