"It is Language which speaks"
~ Stéphane Mallarmé
Principia Poetica
Poetry lacking controversy is like a story without conflict: boring!
Poesy acts like a mirror, which reflects the souls of its readers
so the less that people understand themselves
the less they’ll understand this inner dimension of poetics.
The best poems touch upon powerful, universal themes
tapped from our collective unconscious;
themes that transcend these scripted tautologies.
Some poems are far greater than the sum of their words.
Whereas we Poets are mere conduits...
Trance-channelers reveling in ecstasy—
graced by our muse’s embrace!
